Event Owl offers a variety of team building exercises designed to inspire, amaze and enthuse your staff every step of the way. Whether you are 10 or 400 people. We will take care of your full event should you wish, and our services include:

COMEDY TEAM BUILDING

Our comedy team building experience will motivate your employees and improve teamwork. It is made up of competitive, fast-paced improv team building activities and games which will bond your team socially and empower them on the job.  This is a hilariously great way to improve communication while fostering essential skills like focus, trust, being present and making each other look good.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

GROUP SIZES:  20 – 100

TIME NEEDED:  2 – 3 hours

SPACE REQUIREMENT: 

Board room to ball room size depending on the number of participants. Chairs are needed in a U-shape around the perimeter of the room, one chair per participant with a few extras. The center of the room should be empty, so we can freely move around.

Improvisation at first glance may not be associated to workplace skills but surprisingly, many of the skills that you take away from this team building workshop can be directly correlated with having a productive work environment and meaningful relationships with colleagues. This will teach employees vital, soft business skills such as: proactive listening, focus, trust, making each other look good, and living in the moment. These are the essential, yet often overlooked or discarded, communication and listening skills that will consistently improve the quality of your work, home, and social relationships.

CORPORATE SURVIVOR

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

GROUP SIZE:  24-240

TIME NEEDED: 2 hours

SPACE REQUIREMENT: This program can be conducted indoors or out, in an area that accommodates the size of your group. Large fields, parks, parking lots or large cleared ballrooms are ideal.

IDEAL FOR: 

Annual meetings; Project kick-offs; Company outings. All our projects can be tailored to your company needs. See your team in action, laughing and learning – true Survivor style.

The group will be divided into teams, each is to create its own tribe name. Throughout the day the tribes will be tested and challenged in a series of physical and problem-solving challenges. Each test will become more and more mentally challenging as they progress through the event. This is when some tribes will naturally form alliances to gun the leading tribe’s performance and where the fun really starts – but watch out – there is always a twist or a snag – this will test the tribes’ survival skills for sure!

One of the major differences with Corporate survivor is that teammates work to keep their mates on the “island” rather than off the island, which builds increased team spirit and enhances teams to work as a well-oiled machine, with everyone doing their part whilst supporting each other. Team work is the only way to obtain goals and the game is scored in accordance to which full teams finishes first, second and third. Highest score = True Survivor & Winner of the game.

CORPORATE IDOL

MUSIC – TEAM BUILDING – FUN

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

GROUP SIZE: 20 to 100

TIME NEEDED: 2 – 3 hours

SPACE REQUIREMENT:  

A conference room large enough to comfortably accommodate your group with a sound system, with an open area of approximately 12’ x 24’ to create the stage area. If available, an actual stage or riser will add to your events ambiance and excitement. Additional space is also required for each group to create their fabulously musical act privately – a series of smaller rooms would be perfect for this – one per team.

CLUE MASTER: THE MYSTERY HUNT

THERE HAS BEEN A MURDER… THERE IS SIX SUSPECTS. SIX WEAPONS. TEN ROOMS. DOES YOUR TEAM HAVE A CLUE?

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

GROUP SIZE:  20 – 100

TIME NEEDED:  2 – 2.5 hours

SPACE REQUIREMENT:  An urban area with access to shops, restaurants, parks and other public spaces. A kick-off and wrap up area is suggested.

IDEAL FOR: 

Annual events; Group outings; Away days; New employee orientation. Clue Master is an adventure game that is always well received by participants. For best results let us tailor your event by incorporating company info, product info, conference themes and other educational topics into the hunt.

This fast, fun and funny game is based on Cluedo. We could also slightly adjust it to be a spooky mystery clue evening – depending on the venue. Teams will be hunting down clues and of course hidden treasure. You and your FBI (Fabulously Brave Inspectors) team find the body – but it has been moved from somewhere and it is still warm! So, you know when… but can you find out how, where and who?

Each player will have a dirty secret, which they would like to keep secret… but will you be able to pry it out of them? Opposing teams need to work together to unravel the mystery as well. A prize goes to the person who finds the most other player dirty secret. The first team to solve the full mystery wins – boasting in the victory of solving a tough case!

WINERY/CRAFT BEER TEAM CHALLENGE

TIME NEEDED:  4 – 6 hours, with bus travelling time.

SPACE REQUIREMENT: Various wineries/Craft Beer Distilleries

IDEAL FOR: 

Annual events; An ideal event prior to a terrific dinner evening with some live entertainment. The Winery Team Challenge program delivers a fun, competitive and uniquely memorable wine tasting team building.Visit various wineries/distilleries and your teams will be taken for various tastings. At some stops the group will be divided into teams where they will be creating their own blends, after receiving a short but interesting brief, name it, develop a marketing campaign for it and a label for the wine/beer. The winner will be identified by judges from the team, based on the Marketing campaign;  Wine name; Created Label and the blindfolded wine tasting of course.

Pairing will also form part of the fun schedule for the day, as well as minute to win it contests and other interesting fun surprise activities.

SPACE REQUIREMENT:  2 m² per person.

IDEAL FOR: 

Those passionate about music; Networking, To have fun & celebrate; To get to know the team; For improved communication. Our Sync your team dance classes will find your team split into smaller groups, each group will be assigned a dance instructor and will be taught an easy choreographed dance to the sweet sound of musicians such as Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Shakira or similar artists. After the classes they will move to competing against each other and the winning group will be chosen. The winning team, most fun dance, most promising dancer and dancer with the best moves will also receive small prizes, as well as various spot prizes as this always adds to the excitement. Sync your team leads to a lot of laughter, fun and will help your team to get out of their shell.

SILENT DISCO TEAM BUILDING

WHERE THE NOISE WILL BE LIMITED TO EXTREME LAUGHTER!

SPACE REQUIREMENT: 

2 m² per person.

IDEAL FOR: 

For team building where the noise need to be limited. Musical fun; getting your team out of their shell & to get to know one another a little better, this will put your team at ease with each other and will most definitely inspire and motivate them. Great for stress relief.

This is definitely a very popular option now! Each person is given a pair of headphones and the instructor can communicate, give instructions and teaches dance moves while playing music through the headphones – this leads to incredible fun and loads of laughter.

DRUMMING UP A TEAM

This is a great way to energize, focus and motivate people & to stimulate creativity, risk-taking and a “can do” attitude. Drumming Up A Team offers a wonderful opportunity to engage and energize teamwork and harmony. THE CORPORATE OLYMPICS OF OUTINGS

THIS IS A NOISY BUT EXTREME FUN EXERCISE!!!!!!!

TIME NEEDED: 2 program hours and 2 DJ hours

SPACE REQUIREMENT: 

An outdoor space large enough to comfortably hold your group. Fields and parks work best, anywhere there is flat grass and access to electricity. Large, indoor spaces are advised in winter months or inclement weather. Access to water and electricity is ideal.

IDEAL FOR: 

Team restructuring; Company picnics/outings; Retreats/conferences;

Crazy games is a fast-paced, high energy and interactive event. Teams will compete in 10 different wacky relay races and is designed to build team strength, develop problem solving and communication skills by a challenge by choice concept. Our experienced MC will be leading the hilariously funny games. Our field day relay races for team building are carefully designed to suit most athletic abilities and will be enjoyable to all ages! The games are marked by colourful flags, markers, some crazy props and of course the BRONZE TORCH – this is Corporate Olympics after all. Are you ready for hilariously entertaining competitive fun?

Please note that as an additional crowd pleaser, we will employ a DJ who will wow the crowd and competitors with music fitting each game and that you are welcome to request a spit braai and informal dance party directly after the games. Your Olympians will have cause for celebration Afterall.

You can have a 30-minute Haka session, which will be ideal as an energizer – this is an ideal element to add to a conference or meeting. Or, you could ask for a deeper 60-minute Haka session, wherein participants will be immersed in the history of the Haka, and its traditions. As a surprise element, you could even book some of the Stormer Girls to energize the show and make it an even more memorable occasion to Province Rugby fans! The Haka team building workshop energizes people at events and conferences.
